Anthropology students and Pike Place Senior Center members connect over oral histories

The Carlson Leadership and Public Service Center connects UW classes with community-based organizations so students experience first-hand what they are learning about and so organizations benefit from student service. “Hello in There” looks at Holly Barker’s anthropology class, a reciprocal learning experience for both students and members of the Pike Place Senior Center.

榴莲视频 Received National Recognition for Community Service, Named to President鈥檚 Honor Roll

The 榴莲视频 has been named to the 2009 President鈥檚 Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll, the highest federal recognition a college or university can receive for its commitment to volunteering, service-learning and civic engagement. The UW is the only public, 4-year institution in Washington state to receive this recognition this year.
